Service Starts from the 26th
Integrated Management of Career Descriptions, Specialized Subject Completion Records, etc.
The Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Employment and Labor are launching a service that links the Job Competency Bank with the National Education Information System (NEIS) to allow verification of high school students' learning histories.
According to the Ministries of Education and Employment on the 26th, the linkage service between the Job Competency Bank and the National Education Information System will be available starting today.
The Job Competency Bank is a system that saves and integrates information on job competencies such as qualifications, training, education, and career acquired by individuals, and supports issuing a "Job Competency Certificate" when needed to be used for employment or personnel placement. This system began service on September 1 last year and expanded information linkage this March to include employment insurance subscription history, individual business registration information, and lifelong learning account learning history.
On the 12th, students are attending interviews at the '2022 Seoul Vocational High School Alumni Company Job Fair' hosted by the Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education at the Hongneung Talent Development Campus of the Korea Creative Content Agency in Seoul. This job fair was jointly prepared by six vocational high schools in Seoul and 22 alumni companies. In March, the Ministries of Education and Employment began promoting system linkage through inter-ministerial collaboration. To this end, the two ministries conducted personnel exchanges in relevant positions and established measures to strengthen career management and employment support for vocational high school students.
Through this service, high school students who need employment linkage can now prove their job competencies with a single certificate via the Job Competency Bank.
Choi Chang-ik, Director of Lifelong Vocational Education Policy at the Ministry of Education, explained, "Vocational high school students can manage their portfolios through the Job Competency Bank by linking national technical qualifications acquired during their studies and specialized subjects completed at school, which is expected to help with employment and career management."
