Changwon Facilities Corporation Discusses Measures for Swimming Pool Water Quality Improvement and Safety Management

First Half-Year Water Quality Management Council Held

Changwon Facilities Management Corporation in Gyeongnam announced on the 25th that it held the "2024 First Half Water Quality Management Council" at the Citizen Sports Center meeting room to create a safe and pleasant swimming pool environment.

The Corporation's "Water Quality Management Council" is a consultative body that has been operating since November last year to share trends in swimming pool water quality and the occurrence of larvae, as well as to discuss response measures.

The council consists of a total of eight members, including Changwon National University Professor Baek Dohyun as chair, experts in water quality management, related organizations, civic groups and user representatives, and relevant public officials.

During this meeting, after discussing the progress and improvements in water quality management for the first half of the year and response measures in case of larvae occurrence, a field inspection of the swimming pool's mechanical room at the Citizen Sports Center was conducted under the guidance of Chairman Kim Jonghae.

In particular, they shared the implementation of frequent inspections of larva prevention facilities, regular filtration net inspections of pool inflow and outflow water, clearing of vegetation and filling of water puddles around the swimming pool, and monthly water quality inspections by professional agencies.

Chair Baek stated, "We will do our utmost to ensure a thorough swimming pool water quality management system and support for safety management so that citizens can use the swimming pool in an even safer environment."
