Jinan County Office's Yudongju Achieves 'Triple Crown' at National Men's Weightlifting Championships

Yoo Dong-ju of the Jinan County Office weightlifting team won three gold medals and became a triple crown champion at the "96th National Men's Weightlifting Championships" held for eight days from the 18th to the 25th in Seocheon-gun, Chungnam.

Weightlifting star Yoo Dong-ju (96kg) won 3 gold medals. He lifted 165kg in the snatch and 200kg in the clean and jerk, both ranking first, and showed overwhelming skill by ranking first with a total of 365kg. This competition was a stage to assess the skills of athletes ahead of the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Yoo Dong-ju will participate in the Paris Olympics held in France from July 26 to August 11. This marks his third consecutive appearance, starting with the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics, followed by the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, and now the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Yoo Dong-ju expressed his victory sentiment, saying, "I will do my best to bring honor to South Korea and Jinan County at the Olympics."

Meanwhile, Jinan County promoted the "Jinan Red Ginseng Festival," which will be held for four days from October 3 to 6 in the northern area of Maisan, along with cheering for the competition at the Seocheon-gun Citizen Gymnasium where this tournament took place. They widely publicized the benefits of Jinan Red Ginseng and the charm of the festival to participants and spectators.

The Jinan County Office weightlifting team has played a significant role in promoting Jinan Red Ginseng nationwide by regularly consuming it with the support of the Jinan Red Ginseng Oriental Medicine Cluster Project Group and the Jeonbuk Ginseng Cooperative, managing their health and physical strength.
