Gwangju National Science Museum Hosts 'Special Invitation Event on Closed Days'

The National Gwangju Science Museum and the National Gwangju Science Museum Support Association announced on the 25th that they held the 'Special Invitation Event for the 2nd Quarter Closure Days of 2024' the previous day.


This event invited applications from special schools and social welfare facilities located in the Honam region of Gwangju, Jeonnam, and Jeonbuk, and two institutions, Mokpo Inseong School and Hampyeong Yeonghwa School, were invited. Participants enjoyed watching the planetarium where constellations can be seen even during the day, a robot dance performance, a magic show, and had a pleasant time eating lunchboxes prepared by the science museum.

Researcher Yoon Won-chan said, "We are conducting various projects to bridge the gap in science culture. Especially from this quarter, we have organized new beneficiary-customized programs such as science magic shows, considering preferences to make the visits more diverse and enjoyable," and added, "We hope for the citizens' active interest and participation in the National Gwangju Science Museum Support Association so that the support projects can continue without interruption."
