Honam Regional Biological Resources Center Conducts Ecological Experience Program on Islands

Recruitment for Participants in the Family Biological Resource Exploration Program 'Seomseureopge'

The National Honam Biological Resources Center under the Ministry of Environment (Director Ryu Tae-cheol) announced on the 25th that it is recruiting participants for the family accommodation program "1 Night 2 Days Island Style," which allows families to spend a night on an island and explore various biological resources of the island until the 2nd of next month.

The "1 Night 2 Days Island Style" educational program has been operating since 2022 and is now in its third year. It is a well-structured program popular among families of 3 to 4 members with elementary school children, offering experiences such as mudflat exploration and various island-themed activities that are difficult to experience in the city.

This program will take place over 1 night and 2 days from the 6th to the 7th of next month on Bigeumdo and Dochodo islands in Sinan-gun. The main activities include △ biological resource mudflat exploration △ salt farm experience △ fish exploration △ island sightseeing △ traditional experiences.

The number of participants is limited to a total of 22 people, consisting of families of three or more with elementary school children, and registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. The participation fee is 100,000 KRW for elementary school children and 120,000 KRW per accompanying family member excluding elementary school children.
