Opportunities for Everyday Cultural and Artistic Experiences Boost Artistic Sensibility

The Busan Northern Office of Education (Superintendent Kim Beomgyu) will operate the '2024 Cultural and Arts Experience Program for Students with Developmental Disabilities' at Gaon Art Hall for 289 special education students from elementary and middle schools in Busan from June 26 to October 11.

This program aims to foster artistic sensitivity and strengthen cultural and artistic competencies by providing students with developmental disabilities a variety of cultural and artistic performances and experiences.

The event will consist of performance viewing and hands-on activities. Various programs such as bubble shows, science magic, djembe, Nanta, and sand art have been prepared so that students can easily and enjoyably participate. To ensure the safe operation of the program, pre- and post-safety education will be conducted, and 107 special class teachers and support staff for students with disabilities will participate together.

Kim Beomgyu, Superintendent of the Northern Office of Education, said, "This event will serve as a foundation for enhancing the cultural and artistic competencies of students with developmental disabilities," and added, "The Northern Office of Education will continue to support various programs to improve the quality of life for students."
