The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education is strengthening educational cooperation with Kazakhstan.
On the 25th, the Office of Education announced that it held a consultative meeting with the Ministry of Education in Kazakhstan on the 24th (local time) as a follow-up to the business agreement with the Kazakh Ministry of Science and Higher Education in April.
The main agenda items included ▲ the operation of the selection process for native teachers from Kazakhstan ▲ exchange and cooperation plans between Kazakh elementary, middle, and high schools and schools in Gyeonggi Province ▲ support measures for children of the Koryoin diaspora.
Jo Young-min, Director of the Convergence Education Policy Division at the Gyeonggi Office of Education, stated, "Gyeonggi's multicultural education will play a leading role in multicultural education by preparing for the upcoming multicultural society through international educational exchanges with multicultural target countries, fostering global talents with cultural diversity and global citizenship, which are core competencies of future society."
Meanwhile, in the first interview for native instructors conducted locally in Kazakhstan through teacher exchanges with the Kazakh Ministry of Science and Higher Education, 17 applicants recommended by the Kazakh Ministry of Science and Technology participated.
