Opening of Seoul Jungnang Water Park on the Jungnangcheon Riverside Upstream of Jangangyo Bridge

Jungnang-gu (Mayor Ryu Kyung-gi) will open the urban water playground "Seoul Jungnang Water Park" on July 2 to cool down the heat of the hot summer.

Located on the banks of the Jungnangcheon Stream upstream of Jangangyo Bridge, Seoul Jungnang Water Park boasts a large water play facility with a total area of 6,550㎡. In addition to a 25m pool and a children's pool, it also features a 50m international standard pool for adults to enjoy. Various water play facilities such as water fountains, Mongolian tent shade shelters, showers, and changing rooms are provided to help family visitors enjoy comfortably.

The park operates in two sessions: the first session is from 10:00 AM to 1:30 PM, and the second session is from 2:00 PM to 5:30 PM.

The admission fees are free for children under 3 years old, 2,000 KRW for children aged 3 to 12, 3,000 KRW for teenagers aged 13 to 18, and 4,000 KRW for adults aged 19 and above.

In addition, the district has prepared and operates various water playgrounds nearby so residents do not have to travel far to enjoy them.

The Sinnae Park water playground, located in Bonghwasan Onggi Theme Park, is equipped with various water play facilities such as a water playground and water baskets where children can run freely, as well as temporary showers and changing rooms.

The Bongsudae Park water playground, located at the entrance of Bonghwasan behind Jungnang-gu Office, features a water playground and a stream, making it a great place for children and hikers visiting Bonghwasan to cool off by dipping their feet.

The operating hours for Sinnae Park and Bongsudae Park water playgrounds are from 10:00 AM to 1:30 PM for the first session and from 2:00 PM to 4:45 PM for the second session, and admission is free.

All three water playgrounds operate from Tuesday to Sunday every week until August 18 and are open to all Jungnang-gu residents.

The district plans to assign safety personnel at all water playgrounds to ensure residents can use the facilities safely, and will pay special attention to hygiene management of the water play facilities, including water quality control and environmental maintenance.

Ryu Kyung-gi, Mayor of Jungnang-gu, said, "I hope everyone has a pleasant time cooling off and making memories with their families at the urban water playground," adding, "Since many visitors are expected, we will do our utmost to ensure safety management."
