EyesVision announced on the 24th that its wholly-owned subsidiary, EN Creative's "Chueok-ui Gukminhakgyo Tteokbokki (Gukddeok)," participated in the global-scale food expo, the "2024 Summer Fancy Food Show."
At this Fancy Food Show, Gukddeok showcased a variety of tteokbokki, assorted fried dishes, and fish cake soup products to buyers from around the world, while also conducting product tasting events.
The Fancy Food Show is held from the 23rd to the 25th at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center located in Manhattan, New York. Approximately 50,000 food professionals and over 2,600 food-related companies participate, providing optimal business opportunities between buyers and participating companies.
Since its launch in 2007 as the first domestic tteokbokki meal kit, Gukddeok has maintained popularity for 18 years and is currently exported to 35 countries worldwide, including the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Europe, and Southeast Asia. This year, cumulative sales surpassed 20 million units, and cumulative export revenue exceeded 25 million dollars.
In the first half of this year, Gukddeok attended expos held in Russia, Thailand, and Spain, starting its first delivery to Russia and securing entry into major convenience store channels in Malaysia. The company also explained that it is currently negotiating entry into the Netherlands' largest distribution channel.
A Gukddeok representative said, "By attending this Fancy Food Show, we hope to showcase the Gukddeok brand and products to global buyers and promote the excellence of domestic K-food. In the second half of the year, we plan to attend expos held in Cambodia and Paris, and we will continue to develop overseas sales channels to accelerate our global market expansion."
