Jinju City Adjusts Downtown Bus Routes in Jinju Station Area

From July 1, Route 151 and 151-1 to Serve New Desiang and Umi Lin Apartments

Jinju City in Gyeongnam announced on the 24th that it will adjust and operate city bus routes in the Jinju Station area, where new apartment complexes have been established, starting from July 1.

As residents begin moving into Umi Lin Apartment and Daesang Apartment in areas of the Jinju Station district not currently served by city buses, the city will integrate the existing city bus routes 100 and 151 (which currently operate round trips) into routes 151 (one-way) and 151-1 (one-way) to improve public transportation convenience for residents.


Route 151 will depart from the public bus depot, newly serve Umi Lin Apartment and Daesang Apartment located in the Jinju Station area, and operate one-way at 30-minute intervals via Jinju Station, Gyeongsang National University, Naedong-myeon, Pyeonggeo-dong, Ihyeon-dong, Jungang Market, and Malti Hill to Myungshin High School in Chojang-dong.


Route 151-1 will run in the opposite direction, departing from Myungshin High School in Chojang-dong and operating one-way at 30-minute intervals via Malti Hill, Jungang Market, Ihyeon-dong, Pyeonggeo-dong, Naedong-myeon, Gyeongsang National University, Jinju Station, passing through Daesang Apartment and Umi Lin Apartment, and arriving at the public bus depot.


A city official stated, "We are striving to efficiently provide public transportation services in response to changing urban conditions so that citizens can enjoy a convenient life," adding, "We will do our best to ensure that Jinju citizens can take pride in receiving the best services nationwide through the introduction of new transportation systems, the operation of driver friendliness and safety evaluation systems, and other initiatives currently being prepared by our city."
