Jongno-gu Supports 3 Types of Safety Equipment Sets for Single-Person Households, Including Home CCTV

Priority Selection for Residential Intrusion Crime Victims and Basic Livelihood Security Recipients

Jongno-gu, Seoul (District Mayor Jeong Munheon) is accepting applications for safety equipment support for single-person households until the 28th of this month. The support includes ‘Smart Doorbells’ that can monitor both inside and outside the home, ‘Home CCTV’, and ‘Front Door Safety Devices’ for double locking door locks.

The ‘2024 Jongno-gu Safety Equipment Support Project’ is open to any single-person household residing in the district with an income at or below 150% of the median income, regardless of gender or housing type. Priority will be given to victims of residential intrusion crimes, basic livelihood security recipients, and low-income groups. Results will be notified individually via text message. Applicants should refer to the district office website and submit the application form, resident registration certificate, and income verification documents by the deadline.

Additionally, Jongno-gu plans to provide further support in collaboration with Jongno and Hyehwa Police Stations by offering ‘Voice Recognition Wireless Emergency Bells’ equipped with police reporting functions and ‘Digital Door Locks’ to victims of stalking or dating violence crimes. District Mayor Jeong Munheon stated, “We hope this will provide practical help in alleviating the anxiety of single-person households regarding residential intrusion crimes,” and added, “We will continue to create a livable Jongno through effective, community-based support for single-person households.”
