The ceremony was attended by 18 labor and management representatives, including President Jeon Jung-seon, Head of the Management Support Division Shin Kyung-chul, Labor-Management Council Representative Kim Yoon-jung, and Labor Union Chairman Kim Won-hoon.
According to the resolution, the 'company' plans to strengthen institutional support so that employees can feel psychological stability and immerse themselves in work for future sustainable growth and development. First, despite difficult management conditions, the company promised to operate a 'Joint Labor-Management Employee Growth and Development Support Task Force (TF)' in the second half of the year. Through this TF, the company plans to review its own signature welfare system that responds to the increasingly diverse lifestyles of employees in line with changing times.
The 'executives and managers' will engage in their work with desperate effort and determination to achieve the company's management goals and improve the management environment, setting an example. In fact, POSCO E&C executives are leading the crisis overcoming efforts with a self-sacrificing attitude, voluntarily returning 10-15% of their salaries and reducing meeting expenses by 30%. The 'employees' have delegated wage adjustments to the company this year and agreed to share the company's difficulties by saving expenses such as using 100% of their annual leave.
President Jeon Jung-seon emphasized, "One of the important driving forces that allowed the company, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary, to sustain growth and development so far was the labor-management culture based on mutual understanding and harmony," adding, "Let us turn this crisis into an opportunity for a new leap forward by joining forces together."
Labor-Management Council Representative Kim Yoon-jung said, "Since the company is in crisis, labor and management must unite even more," and added, "We will actively participate in joint labor-management practice activities and strive to make a practical contribution to overcoming the company's management crisis."
