Musk Has Another Child with Company Executive... Now Has 11 Children?

Bloomberg Businessweek Report
Musk Posts Concerns About Birth Rate on X

Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, has reportedly had his third child with a female executive at Neuralink, the company he founded.

On the 21st (local time), the economic weekly Bloomberg Businessweek reported in an article titled "Elon wants you to have more babies" that Musk had another child this year. Citing sources, the outlet stated that Musk and Neuralink's female director, Shivon Zilis, have welcomed their third child.

It is widely known that the two had twins in 2021, but this is the first report about their third child. According to Walter Isaacson's biography "Elon Musk," published last September, Musk offered to donate his sperm to Zilis and encouraged her to have a child, to which she agreed, resulting in the birth of fraternal boy-girl twins through in vitro fertilization.

The Bloomberg Businessweek article only mentioned that a new child was born between the two, without providing further details. The outlet reported that this child Musk had this year is his 12th. However, since Musk's first child passed away at 10 weeks old, if this report is accurate, he currently has a total of 11 children.

Zilis declined to comment on the report, and Musk did not respond to requests for confirmation.

Musk has five sons with his first wife, author Justine Wilson, and after divorcing his second wife, he has two sons and one daughter with Canadian singer Grimes, whom he dated. On the American online community Reddit, a photo was posted showing Zilis holding a young child and appearing to be pregnant.

Musk has recently been posting frequently on X (formerly Twitter) expressing concern about the global decline in birth rates. In response to a post about Europe's declining birth rate the day before, he wrote, "Civilization might end (with adult diapers)," and on the same day, he commented on an article about the birth rates in wealthy economies around the world having halved since 1960, calling it a "population collapse disaster."

American economic media outlets Business Insider and The Verge reported the news on the 21st, citing Bloomberg Businessweek, and highlighted that the woman who gave birth to Musk's new child is an executive at one of his companies. Earlier, the American daily The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) reported on the 11th that Musk had engaged in inappropriate relationships with several female employees at another of his companies, SpaceX. WSJ also reported that one of the women said Musk repeatedly asked her to have his child, but she refused.
