Promoting Monthly Designation and Actively Discovering Good Price Stores
Gijang-gun (Governor Jung Jongbok) announced on the 21st that it is accepting applications year-round for "Good Price Businesses," which have contributed to price stabilization through affordable prices and quality service.
The county had initially conducted a new recruitment for Good Price Businesses in March this year. However, in order to further stabilize prices for residents and revitalize the local economy by actively discovering more Good Price Businesses in the region, the county has decided to switch to a rolling application system throughout the year.
Applications for Good Price Businesses can be submitted from the second Monday to Friday of each month. Eligible applicants are individual business owners located in Gijang-gun, including those in the food service, beauty and hairdressing, laundry, and lodging industries. However, corporate businesses, franchisees, those who have received administrative sanctions within the past two years, businesses that have suspended operations within the past year, or those with three or more local tax delinquencies are excluded from applying.
The county will conduct on-site inspections each month, evaluating prices, hygiene, and cleanliness of the applying businesses. Businesses that meet the designation criteria will be finally selected as Good Price Businesses and notified on the last Friday of every month.
Newly designated Good Price Businesses will receive a plaque from Busan City and be registered on the city and county websites, gaining promotional benefits. Additionally, they will receive various incentives, including volume-based waste bags and other support items.
Jung Jongbok, Governor of Gijang-gun, stated, "The owners of Good Price Businesses are the unsung heroes who have contributed to price stability with reasonable prices and excellent service despite challenging economic conditions. We will strengthen support for Good Price Businesses and actively discover new ones to further stabilize prices for residents and revitalize the local economy."
Businesses wishing to participate can contact the Economic Vitality Team of the Gijang-gun Job and Economy Division for inquiries.
