7 License Cancellations, 9 License Suspensions, 5 Warnings
The Chungnam Provincial Police Agency announced on the 21st that they caught 21 cases of drunk driving in one day.
The police deployed 140 officers the previous day to conduct drunk driving crackdowns in entertainment districts, restaurant areas, and highway toll gates across the province. The crackdown resulted in 7 license cancellations, 9 license suspensions, and 5 warnings.
In particular, 4 cases of drunk driving were caught at the Dangjin Tollgate exit, including a driver of a special cargo vehicle connected to a 24-ton trailer.
A Chungnam Police Agency official said, "We are continuously cracking down on drunk driving throughout Chungnam to save the lives of residents," and urged, "Please join us in eradicating drunk driving."
