"Hyundai Wia Establishes Low Birthrate Task Force, CEO Town Hall Meeting"

Hyundai Wia held an event where the CEO and employees met to share management goals and performance, and discuss ways to grow the company. In particular, they announced the formation of an internal task force (TF) to address the recently emerging national issue of low birth rates and to establish related internal policies.

On the 21st, Hyundai Wia announced that it held the '2024 Town Hall Meeting' event the previous day at its headquarters in Changwon, Gyeongnam. About 250 employees, including President Jeong Jae-wook of Hyundai Wia, participated in the event.

Hyundai Wia provided a 'CEO Thought Sharing' session, allowing all employees to freely ask questions to President Jeong and the management of each division. In response to questions about strengthening future business competitiveness, President Jeong said, "By 2030, we aim to establish ourselves as a company with global competitiveness in the electric vehicle thermal management market through proprietary technology," adding, "We will build a balanced business portfolio centered on new businesses such as mobility solutions in the mid to long term, and secure quality and cost competitiveness."

President Jeong also stated that to improve organizational culture, they will enhance working methods and simultaneously build infrastructure that can increase work efficiency. Furthermore, he said, "To overcome the national challenge of low birth rates, we will form an internal TF to establish more practical policies to increase the birth rate."

Starting with the town hall meeting, Hyundai Wia plans to increase opportunities for communication where everyone from top executives to new employees can speak in a more comfortable atmosphere. A Hyundai Wia official said, "We will expand the town hall meetings to establish a transparent communication culture and strive to create a happy corporate culture."
