The Emergency Response Committee of Seoul National University College of Medicine and Seoul National University Hospital (Seoul Medical College Emergency Committee) will hold a general meeting on the morning of the 20th to share the progress of the committee's activities and discuss whether to continue the strike at Seoul National University Hospital, Bundang Seoul National University Hospital, Seoul Metropolitan Boramae Medical Center operated by Seoul National University Hospital, and Seoul National University Hospital Gangnam Center.
The committee stated that while it is true that they will discuss whether to continue the indefinite strike, no decision has been made yet. A committee official said, "This general meeting is a place to share the committee's activities during the strike period and discuss future plans," adding, "Whether to continue the indefinite strike will be discussed at the general meeting, and if a resolution is needed, it will be decided by a full vote."
Earlier, the Seoul Medical College Emergency Committee announced the indefinite strike and initially postponed medical appointments for the first week from the 17th to the 21st of this month. It is expected that to change appointments for the following week, schedules will need to be adjusted starting from the 21st.
Meanwhile, outpatient treatment and surgery volumes at Seoul National University Hospital have shown signs of recovery since the first day of the strike on the 17th. A hospital official stated that after outpatient visits decreased on the first day of the indefinite strike on the 17th, they gradually increased on the 18th and 19th.
