Dalseo Art Center Dalseo Gallery Group Exhibition 'Whispering Dreams'
Highlighting the Sculptural Language of Three Artists: Kim Wan, Yoon Jongju, Moon Bori
Marking its 20th anniversary, Dalseo Cultural Foundation's Dalseo Art Center announced on the 19th that it will hold a special exhibition titled "Whispering Dreams" at the Dalseo Gallery.

This exhibition began as an attempt to listen to the visual whispers of dialogue with the self and the inner thought process. It focuses on paying attention to suppressed emotions or unconscious desires through self-awareness and acceptance, including the feelings, desires, fears, and hopes of the inner voice.
Dreams that contain hope and wishes can be interpreted in various ways depending on the viewer's subconscious or unconscious as well as their individual experiences and contexts. Dreams are closely related to the creative activities of artists, serving not only as a source of creativity and imagination but also as one of the main motifs inspiring artistic expression.
Art often blurs the boundaries between reality and imagination, providing experiences similar to dreams. It captures emotions, desires, anxieties, and hopes within the subconscious or unconscious, inviting viewers into a utopian world or stimulating their imagination to reflect on their inner selves.
Dreams can transform into secretive entities hidden deep within the heart from a pure perspective due to external factors such as family, society, school, culture, and economy, as well as internal factors like changes in interests during growth, psychological fluctuations, or damage to self-esteem caused by failure or frustration.
Accordingly, the exhibition was planned based on the assumption that desires or goals hidden inside may be quietly kept without being voiced, but sometimes these wishes or desires take root within the inner self in forms different from others, appearing in unique and new ways.
The participating artists are Kim Wan, Yoon Jongju, and Moon Bori, who approach the rhythmic colors through the regular breathing of dots, lines, and planes or approach implicit meanings through repetitive patterns.
They embody the exploration of the depth of the inner world and the ultimate meaning of art through minimal works that contain diverse meanings within minimal colors.
Additionally, it is impressive how they express the artwork images as a single entity rather than parts by using repetitive shapes and colors to blend different temporalities, relationalities, and implicitness within the works.

The sensory sculptural language presented by the three artists softly whispers to viewers the story of "hidden dreams" beyond imagination and unreal beauty. The exhibition runs until July 25.
