The meeting reviewed the progress of preparations for summer wind and flood damage and heatwave disasters, shared cooperation matters by department, and discussed measures for rapid and effective response in case of an emergency.

In response to unpredictable summer natural disasters caused by recent abnormal climate conditions, the county has carried out inspections and maintenance of 84 landslide-prone areas, 64 steep slopes, and 192 river facilities.

Pre-inspections of disaster early warning facilities (rain gauges, automatic rain warning systems, CCTV, village broadcasting) and relief supplies for disaster victims have been completed.

Additionally, the county operates a heatwave response task force, opens indoor cooling shelters, conducts health management and welfare checks for vulnerable groups through visits, and promotes frequent announcements and on-site guidance to suspend farming activities during heatwave weather advisories.

A county official stated, “We will strengthen the emergency system during the summer natural disaster countermeasure period, monitor weather conditions in real time, take pre-evacuation measures for residents in risk areas when weather advisories are issued, and minimize damage through active publicity such as disaster text messages and village broadcasts. We will thoroughly prepare to prevent casualties from heavy rains during the monsoon season and ongoing heatwaves.”
