Vinatek announced on the 19th that it was selected for the first time as the representative excellent regional company in the Honam area that the MZ generation wants to join at the '2023 Hope Connection Project Awards Ceremony' held on June 12 at Seongam Art Hall in Gangnam, Seoul, hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and the Korea Institute for Advancement of Technology (KIAT).
The Hope Connection Project is a program aimed at improving awareness of regional companies and promoting regional economic and youth employment activation by discovering and introducing excellent companies within the region and supporting employment connections between companies and young people. Since 2012, it has provided opportunities to discover and promote excellent regional companies through activities such as company visits for local youth and supported employment connections.
In particular, this awards ceremony attracted attention by separately selecting excellent regional companies that the MZ generation wants to join. Marking the 12th year of the project in 2023, a new evaluation and diagnosis system called 'Regional Companies the MZ Generation Wants to Join' was established. It discovers excellent regional companies that are good workplaces for youth, diagnoses and evaluates working conditions, certifies excellent regional companies where the MZ generation wants to work, and awards the Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy Award.
Vinatek received high evaluations through the first institutional recommendation and the second expert committee document screening conducted in 2023, and the third on-site youth committee evaluation held in January 2024, assessing management philosophy and vision, corporate growth potential, continuous creation of youth jobs, compensation system, growth support, working environment, and welfare benefits.
At Vinatek, local talents are given preference during new recruitments, and hiring is based on verifying capabilities rather than credentials through project assignments. The starting annual salary for new university graduates in 2024 is 45 million KRW (for those who have completed military service), with various incentives such as expert allowances, position allowances, qualification allowances, language allowances, research allowances, and outstanding employee awards. A challenging culture is fostered to provide rewards based on performance.
Seong Do-kyung, CEO of Vinatek, emphasized, “There is no doubt in the philosophy that the company grows when its employees grow,” and stated, “We will prioritize support so that talents can freely pursue their dreams to achieve the Vision 2030 goal of 1 trillion KRW in sales.”
