Leading Mechanized Farming, 850,000 KRW Support for Qualification Acquisition Training Fee
Boseong-gun, Jeollanam-do announced that it will promote the "Second Half Ultra-Light Aircraft (Drone) Operator Class 1 Qualification Training" from July 1 to November 30 to cultivate farmers equipped with drone operation skills useful for pest control and sowing work.
This training will be conducted in a way that supports 850,000 KRW per person for the training fee upon completion of the course at the local drone training center and acquisition of the Ultra-Light Aircraft (Drone) Operator Class 1 qualification.
The training candidates are farmers aged between 18 and 60 residing in Boseong-gun, and applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis for up to 18 people at the Agricultural Technology Center. Applicants must submit a training application form and a certificate of agricultural management registration upon application.
A county official stated, "Through this training, we will cultivate farmers who lead mechanized farming and actively respond to the labor shortage problem in rural areas," adding, "We hope many will apply for the 2024 Ultra-Light Aircraft (Drone) Operator Qualification Training."
Meanwhile, this year, under the supervision of the Boseong-gun Agricultural Technology Center, the "2024 First Half Agricultural Machinery Professional Qualification Training" was promoted, supporting a total of 70 agricultural machinery professional qualifications, including 60 small construction machinery operators (excavator, forklift) and 10 Ultra-Light Aircraft (Drone) Operator Class 1 qualifications.
