Six Health Clinics Including Pungyang Health Center
Gohung-gun, Jeonnam (Governor Gong Young-min) announced on the 19th that it has secured a project budget of 2.3 billion KRW by winning the public building green remodeling contest project promoted by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport.
The Green Remodeling Project is a policy project by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions by improving energy performance and enhancing living and residential environments through repairing windows, insulation, heating and cooling facilities, etc., of existing buildings whose energy efficiency has deteriorated due to aging.
This contest selection started with a survey of desired buildings from December 2023 to improve the aging health clinics' environment. The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport conducted an on-site investigation in April 2024, and on June 14, six health clinics, including Pungyang Health Clinic, were finally selected as project targets.
With this project secured, a total project cost of 2.3 billion KRW (1.6 billion KRW from the national government and 700 million KRW from the county) will be invested in remodeling six health clinics in the jurisdiction, aiming to complete the design and construction within this year.
A county official stated, "Through this green remodeling, we expect to improve the environment of health clinics and provide more comfortable and healthier medical services to the residents."
