Yoon Jaeok of People Power Party Receives Honorary Doctorate in Public Administration from Keimyung University

Keimyung University (President Shin Ilhee) awarded an honorary doctorate in public administration to Yoon Jaeok, a member of the National Assembly from the People Power Party (representing Dalseo-eul, Daegu), on the 19th. The honorary doctorate conferment ceremony was held at 11 a.m. in the International Seminar Room of Dongcheon Hall at Keimyung University, attended by Kim Janghwan, Chairman of Far East Broadcasting Company, Kim Kwan-yong, Senior Vice Chairman of the National Unification Advisory Council, Lee Manhee, Lee Inseon, Kwon Youngjin, Jeong Heeyong, Seo Chunho, Kim Kiwoong, Yoo Youngha, and Choi Eunseok, all members of the People Power Party, as well as various figures from different sectors.

The event began with an introduction of Yoon Jaeok's achievements by Bae Jaehun, Dean of Keimyung University Graduate School, followed by President Shin Ilhee conferring the honorary doctorate in public administration to Yoon Jaeok. Afterwards, Yoon Jaeok delivered a speech of appreciation, and Kim Janghwan, Chairman of Far East Broadcasting Company, gave a congratulatory address.


President Shin Ilhee of Keimyung University stated, "It is an honor to confer an honorary doctorate in public administration to Representative Yoon Jaeok, who has fulfilled his national and social responsibilities with integrity and sincerity, touching our hearts. We are very pleased to welcome you as a member of the Keimyung family today, and on behalf of all members of Keimyung, I extend our respect and warmest welcome."


Yoon Jaeok said, "It is an honor to become a member of Keimyung University, a prestigious private university with a 125-year tradition. I would like to express my gratitude to Keimyung University for awarding me this honorable degree. In return for this honor, I will continue to dedicate my life to the nation and the local community, so as to bring pride to the name of Keimyung."


After graduating from the National Police University, Yoon Jaeok was commissioned as a police lieutenant and served as Chief of the Gyeongbuk Provincial Police Agency and the Gyeonggi Provincial Police Agency. He was elected as a member of the 19th National Assembly in 2012 and has continued his legislative activities through the 22nd National Assembly.
