Including Multicultural Families ... Targeting 100 Local Residents
Uiryeong County in Gyeongnam announced on the 19th that, with the support of the KRX National Happiness Foundation and in collaboration with Chung-Ang University Hospital, it conducted on-site health checkups for 100 local residents, including multicultural families.
For this health checkup, 22 people including Professor Lee Hyejun from the Department of Family Medicine at Chung-Ang University Hospital, pharmacists, and medical staff participated. Additionally, 10 people, including interpreters and staff from the Uiryeong County Family Center and volunteers from the Uiryeong County Volunteer Center, were assigned to assist with communication for multicultural families.
The examinees underwent X-rays, basic blood and urine tests, blood tests for cancer screening, as well as psychological assessments. The medical staff provided a variety of health information and even prescribed medication on-site, receiving a positive response.
County Governor Oh Taewan said, "I am pleased that our residents were able to receive high-quality medical services through this opportunity," and added, "Including this medical support, we will continue to prepare various support measures so that multicultural families and all residents can maintain good health."
