According to the agreement, from the 19th until the end of the year, a discount promotion will be held for foreign tourists using the immediate tax refund service at Musinsa Standard stores. The Tourism Organization plans to promote this promotion through the VisitKorea website.

Musinsa is the largest online fashion platform in Korea and has recently attracted high interest from foreigners who want to experience K-fashion trends. In 2017, it launched its online-based private brand 'Musinsa Standard,' and since May 2021, it has expanded offline stores starting from Hongdae in Seoul to Busan, Daegu, and recently opened its 10th store.

Kim Dong-il, Head of the Tourism Industry Division at the Korea Tourism Organization, said, "By promoting the immediate tax refund service together with Musinsa, which is emerging as a new hotspot for K-fashion, we hope to activate shopping among foreign tourists and contribute to revitalizing domestic consumption. We will continue to collaborate with private companies to promote tourism content reflecting Korea's latest lifestyle trends such as beauty and fashion, while creating a tourism environment where foreigners can shop more conveniently."

The Tourism Organization plans to widely promote Korea as a 'shopping destination' worldwide by producing content themed 'Enjoying K-fashion like local MZ generation' in English, Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), and Japanese, along with introducing the expanded immediate tax refund service starting this year.
