Player No Seung-woo Shines with Boxing Skills, Wins 'Best Player Award'

A shining star has emerged at the Jeonnam Recreational Boxing Tournament and the 2nd selection round for the National Sports Festival provincial representatives.

No Seung-woo, a player from Mokpo Mihang Elementary School, took first place in the elementary school 45kg weight class and received the Most Valuable Player award. He is a skilled boxer who also won the title and MVP award in the (-40kg) weight class at last year's 6th tournament.

No Seung-woo expressed his ambition, saying, "I dream of winning an Olympic gold medal and want to compete on that stage together with my father, who is an IBA international referee."

No Seung-woo’s father, No Cheol-min, who is also the CEO of Beomjim Fitness & Boxing Master, is a former national team reserve coach and currently an important figure serving as a 1st-grade R & J official for the IBA International Boxing Association.

Based in Muan, Jeollanam-do, he is actively engaged and recognized as a boxing expert both domestically and internationally. The Boxing Master gym can only be operated by former national team members, and among the 20 gyms nationwide, Muan’s Beomjim Fitness & Boxing Master is led by CEO No Cheol-min.

CEO No Cheol-min has ambitiously worked to elevate Muan as the center of boxing nationwide. He pledged, “I will do my best to nurture and develop boxing athletes and play a significant role, big or small, in promoting boxing in Muan more vigorously.”

Expectations are growing for the future achievements of CEO No Cheol-min, who leads the development of boxing beyond Muan to the international stage, and the brilliant boxer No Seung-woo.

As the combination of an outstanding local athlete and a strong leader breathes new life into the regional sports community, boxing fans’ anticipation is increasing, and the efforts to become a new hero of boxing in the Honam region are expected not to be in vain.
