Showcasing Medium-Altitude and Strike-Type Unmanned Aerial Vehicles
Korean Air will participate in the international maritime safety event to showcase cutting-edge unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) technology.
Korean Air announced that it will take part in the "2024 International Maritime and Safety Expo" held from the 19th to the 21st at Songdo Convensia in Incheon.
At this exhibition, Korean Air plans to present UAVs equipped with state-of-the-art technology and introduce advanced solutions for maritime safety. In particular, it will showcase the "medium-altitude UAV," operated for real-time surveillance of key enemy targets on the battlefield, and the "strike-type UAV," capable of reconnaissance and attack missions.
Co-hosted by the Korea Coast Guard and Incheon Metropolitan City, the International Maritime and Safety Expo has been held since 2013 as the only maritime-specialized exhibition in the Seoul metropolitan area and a leading maritime industry fair. This year, over 200 government agencies, companies, and organizations from domestic and international maritime safety, shipbuilding, and related fields are participating and sponsoring the event.
A Korean Air official stated, "This will be a great opportunity to apply Korean Air’s new-concept UAV technology and sustainable aviation solutions to the domestic maritime industry and contribute to enhancing the Navy’s UAV capabilities."
