Joining the "Send Love PCs" Campaign
Over 500 Units Accumulated... Part of ESG Management Efforts
Toray Advanced Materials announced on the 19th that it has participated in the Korea IT Welfare Promotion Agency's 'Sending Love PCs' campaign to bridge the information gap by donating 95 laptops.
The laptops were recently used by Toray Advanced Materials employees for work and will be delivered to information-vulnerable groups after undergoing upcycling processes such as parts replacement and software reinstallation.
Toray Advanced Materials has donated a total of over 500 laptops to date. This effort not only helps bridge the information gap but also contributes to reducing social costs by preventing environmental pollution caused by disposal through laptop recycling.
A representative from Toray Advanced Materials stated, "We will continue to strengthen ESG management by practicing social contribution activities to improve IT accessibility for the information-disadvantaged and realizing social value through resource circulation."
On the 18th, at the Korea Toray Research and Development (R&D) Center in Magok, Gangseo-gu, Seoul, Jeong Mi-kyung, Director of Operations Support at the Korea IT Welfare Promotion Agency, and Kim Yong-jin, Head of Communications at Toray Advanced Materials, are posing for a commemorative photo after the 'Love PC Donation' event for information-vulnerable groups.
