Record-Breaking Scale 'Seoul Food 2024' Successfully Concludes

Ministry of Trade and KOTRA to Host Four-Day Event from the 11th
1,605 Food Companies from 51 Countries Participating
Over 53,000 Visitors Gathered
$240 Million Worth of Export Consultations and Contracts Achieved

The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) announced on the 19th that the 'Seoul International Food Industry Exhibition 2024 (Seoul Food 2024),' held from the 11th to the 14th, successfully concluded.

Marking its 42nd edition this year, Seoul Food attracted 1,605 food companies from 51 countries worldwide and over 53,000 visitors. In terms of visitors, it was the largest scale ever. Compared to last year, the number of visitors increased by more than 10,000, a growth of over 26%. The export fever for K-Food was also intense. At the event, 240 key global distribution network buyers, invited in large numbers by KOTRA’s overseas trade centers, and about 640 Korean companies conducted on-site export business. Export consultations and on-site export contracts worth a total of 240 million USD were concluded.


Building on the success of this Seoul Food, the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and KOTRA plan to hold 'SEOUL FOOD in Bangkok 2024' in the second half of this year to help Korean food companies target the ASEAN market. This event, consisting of a B2B exhibition and a B2C pop-up store, will be Seoul Food’s first global expansion case and will be held at ICONSIAM, Bangkok’s largest tourist attraction and shopping mall, which attracts more than 30,000 visitors daily.


Yoo Jung-yeol, President of KOTRA, said, "Continuing the momentum of Seoul Food this year, we will actively support domestic food companies’ entry into the ASEAN market by holding 'Seoul Food Bangkok' in the second half of the year. Next year, we will prepare more innovative programs to ensure that Seoul Food continues to grow as a leading exhibition setting global food industry trends."
