Awarded for Five Consecutive Years... Gyeongbuk TP Receives Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy Award for 'Hope Connection Project'

Providing Communication Opportunities Between Companies and Youth, Easing Job Mismatches

Gyeongbuk Technopark achieved the accomplishment of winning awards in all categories at the "2023 Hope Connection Project Awards Ceremony" held by the Korea Institute for Advancement of Technology (KIAT) on the 12th.

Awarded for Five Consecutive Years... Gyeongbuk TP Receives Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy Award for 'Hope Connection Project' Scene from the 2023 Hope Connection Project Awards Ceremony.

The "Hope Connection Project," hosted and participated in by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and nine cities and provinces in five regions, is a program designed to provide opportunities for communication between local companies and young people, and to alleviate job mismatches.


Through the project, students visit outstanding local companies to help improve their perceptions of regional businesses, and receive employment support programs such as job camps and individual consulting.


The Hope Connection Project awards were given in four categories: selection of Hope Connection companies in our region, outstanding contributors (organizations and individuals) to the Hope Connection Project, excellent company visit reviews, and outstanding supporters.


In the Daegyeong region, organized by Gyeongbuk TP and participated in by Daegu TP, three Hope Connection companies, one individual for outstanding contribution, two teams for excellent reviews, and one supporter received awards.


Notably, the Daegyeong region received the Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy Award for the fifth consecutive year, recognizing its contribution to alleviating youth job mismatches.


In the Gyeongbuk region-Youth Hope Connection company category, Daeju Machinery received the Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy Award, while IJS and Sambo Motors received plaques and nameplates.


In the excellent company visit review category, the "Gyeongsamdo" team and the "300TEAM" team received the Gold Prize (Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy Award) with a prize of 1.5 million KRW, and the Silver Prize (KIAT President Award) with a prize of 1 million KRW, respectively.


Additionally, in the outstanding supporter individual category, Lee Hanbi from "Heedeun Card" received the Excellence Award (KIAT President Award) and a prize of 300,000 KRW.


Ha Inseong, President of Gyeongbuk Technopark, stated, "We will create an ecosystem of mutual growth where local companies strengthen the job competencies of young people and young people grow into talents for local companies."
