[Breaking] Prosecution Requests Arrest Warrants for Kim Man-bae and Shin Hak-rim... Charges Include Defamation and Breach of Trust

On the 17th, the Anti-Corruption Investigation Division 1 of the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office requested pre-arrest warrants for Kim Man-bae, former major shareholder of Hwacheon Daeyu, and Shin Hak-rim, a special committee member of Newstapa, on charges of receiving 165 million KRW in exchange for false reports related to the Busan Savings Bank investigation and disguising it as book payments.

Both individuals were charged with defamation under the Information and Communications Network Act, breach of trust (Shin Hak-rim), aiding breach of trust (Kim Man-bae), violation of the Improper Solicitation and Graft Act, violation of the Act on the Regulation of Concealment of Criminal Proceeds, and extortion.
