Ulju County Conducts Namchangcheon Cleanup as Part of 'One Company One Stream Preservation Campaign'

Ulsan Ulju County announced on the 17th that it had conducted a river cleanup activity as part of the "One Company, One River Revitalization Campaign" on the 14th, with over 120 participants from local businesses and community organizations in the Namchangcheon area of Onyang-eup.


The One Company, One River Revitalization Campaign is a voluntary initiative in which 53 companies and civic organizations participate to create clean and clear ecological rivers and water-friendly spaces. River cleanup activities are carried out in 44 sections across 16 rivers, including the Hoeya River.


On this day, participants collected approximately 500 kg of household waste and invasive plant species discarded in the river area from Namchang 1 Bridge to Namchang 3 Bridge.


An official from Ulju County stated, "We are grateful to the businesses and residents who participated in the cleanup activities to protect the rivers despite their busy schedules," and added, "We hope for continued interest and cooperation so that the One Company, One River Revitalization Campaign can expand into a county-wide river conservation movement."
