Mirae Asset Securities Hosts '2024 AI?Data Festival'

Mirae Asset Securities announced on the 17th that it will jointly host the '2024 Artificial Intelligence (AI)·Data Festival' with Naver Cloud.

The AI·Data Festival is the new name for Mirae Asset Securities' flagship social contribution program, the 'Big Data Festival,' which is now in its 8th edition since 2017. It provides an opportunity for university and graduate students interested in generative AI and data to showcase their innovative ideas and analytical skills.

The theme of the contest is "A New Experience in Financial Investment Created with HyperCLOVA X and AI," where participants can propose services and ideas that can be offered in the financial investment sector through AI technology. The grand prize winner will receive 25 million KRW, with a total prize pool of 55 million KRW. In addition to the prize money, benefits such as internships and exemption from document screening during recruitment will be provided.

The contest accepts applications from the 17th to the 28th of this month, and university and graduate students can participate individually or in teams of up to three members. Submissions are accepted until July 31, and five teams will advance to the finals. Each team will complete their final deliverables based on mentoring provided by AI and data practice departments.

A representative from Mirae Asset Securities stated, "We expect outstanding ideas to emerge when the recently hot topics of AI technology, financial data, and students' creativity come together. Through joint hosting with Naver Cloud, we will provide an environment where the country's best generative AI can be freely used and researched, and actively support mentoring by financial experts."
