Jeongeup-si Holds 'Citizen Communication Committee'... Discussing Empathy Proposal Policies Jeongeup City recently held a Citizen Communication Committee meeting in the city hall's mid-sized conference room to review and gather opinions on the Jeongeup Communication Room citizen consensus proposal policy.

The committee engaged in discussions and lively debates regarding the policy proposed by citizens on the online policy communication platform 'Jeongeup Communication Room,' which officially began operation last April, focusing on policies for middle-aged people in their 40s and 50s.

Additionally, time was spent sharing various opinions on daily inconveniences and institutional improvements.

The Jeongeup Communication Room allows any citizen to freely propose ideas related to city development strategies without constraints of time and space.

If a proposal receives more than 50 empathy votes within a month, it undergoes review by the Citizen Communication Committee and the relevant department before being reflected in city administration.

Citizens can also participate in online surveys and votes related to city administration.

Mayor Lee Hak-su stated, “The opinions gathered this time will be incorporated into policies after a detailed review process,” and added, “The role of the Citizen Communication Committee is important for smooth communication between citizens and city administration going forward.”
