Gyeonggi Housing and Urban Corporation (GH) has completed dredging work on wastewater pipelines to prevent damage accidents such as flooding and sludge accumulation-induced backflow in the Anseong 4th General Industrial Complex in Gyeonggi Province.
On the 17th, GH announced that it conducted a preliminary investigation of sections prone to flooding and backflow in the wastewater pipelines managed within the Anseong 4th General Industrial Complex, and carried out closed-circuit (CC) TV inspections and dredging over a 3.3 km section through a safety council meeting at the wastewater treatment plant.
GH plans to continuously maintain the facilities by establishing a comprehensive safety maintenance plan for wastewater pipelines, requesting periodic pipe cleaning by tenant companies within the industrial complex, and inspecting management status.
Kim Seyong, President of GH, stated, "We will continue to do our best to protect citizens' lives and property from safety accidents during heavy rains through thorough inspections and maintenance."
