Busan Municipal Theater Collaboration... Play "White Paper Beard"
Residents Actively Promote "Emotional Housing Welfare Project"
Busan Metropolitan Corporation (BMC) held the "Happy Neighbors, Cultural Outing Program" event at the Yeonje Happy Sports Center located within the Happy Housing in front of City Hall.
This event was planned as part of BMC's emotional residential welfare project, aiming to provide a space where residents of rental housing can come together, enjoy, and heal through cultural and artistic performances.
On the 13th, around 130 residents participated in the event, which went beyond simply watching cultural performances to foster communication and strengthen the sense of community among residents.
In particular, this "Happy Neighbors, Cultural Outing Program" was held in collaboration with the Busan Metropolitan Theater, affiliated with the Busan Cultural Center.
The play "White Paper Beard," presented by the theater troupe, depicts the tragic reality of war faced by the Korean people and the will to overcome it, as seen through the sad experiences of a family after the Korean War. With its profound storyline and passionate performances by the actors, the play received enthusiastic responses from the attendees.
Kim Yonghak, President of Busan Metropolitan Corporation, said, "I am delighted that this cultural event has brought warmth and joy to our residents," and added, "I would like to thank everyone who worked hard to make this event possible despite the hot weather. We promise to continue promoting various emotional residential welfare projects to improve the quality of life for our residents."
