EcoPro will participate in the InterBattery exhibition held in Europe this week. The company plans to showcase EcoPro's technological competitiveness locally in Europe and lay the groundwork for diversifying its customer base.

'InterBattery Europe 2024' will take place from the 19th to the 21st in Munich, Germany. This year's InterBattery Europe is held concurrently with The Smarter E Europe, the largest energy exhibition in Europe, allowing visitors to see the entire battery supply chain at a glance. Approximately 100,000 visitors are expected.

EcoPro, participating in InterBattery Europe for the first time this year, plans to promote its entry into the European market to various potential customers ahead of the launch of its Hungary plant in 2025.

EcoPro's dedicated booth is located in Exhibition Hall C3 alongside LG Energy Solution, Samsung SDI, and others. Detailed information about the EcoPro Hungary plant will be showcased at the exhibition hall.

The EcoPro Hungary plant, with a total area of 440,000㎡, is located in the southern industrial complex of Debrecen. EcoPro plans to sequentially produce ternary cathode materials NCA (Nickel-Cobalt-Aluminum), NCM (Nickel-Cobalt-Manganese), and NCMX (Nickel-Cobalt-Manganese-Additives), in which it holds strengths.

The exhibition will also introduce the Closed Loop Eco System Version 2 (V2), an eco-friendly process that minimizes pollutants such as wastewater generated in the existing battery cathode material ecosystem. The Closed Loop Eco System is a system that EcoPro implemented on a 120,000-pyeong site at its Pohang campus with an investment of 2 trillion KRW, integrating the secondary battery cathode material production process from recycling waste batteries to raw materials, precursors, and cathode materials within a single complex. This system has become a core competitive advantage that maximizes cost reduction and production efficiency, driving EcoPro to become the global No.1 cathode material company.

The Closed Loop System V2 focuses on ▲expanding the scope of waste battery recycling and ▲purifying and reusing industrial wastewater, which is expected to reduce manufacturing costs by more than 30%. It is also analyzed to be a turning point for EcoPro to evolve further as a global eco-friendly company.

Additionally, the exhibition hall will showcase EcoPro's product portfolio covering high-nickel, mid-nickel, and LFP (Lithium Iron Phosphate) materials.

EcoPro, securing an absolute competitive edge in cathode active material products through differentiated precursor design technology, single-crystal synthesis technology, and doping/coating technology, plans to lead the global market.

An EcoPro representative stated, "We expect to showcase EcoPro's excellent products and technological capabilities in Europe, which leads the global electric vehicle market, and to directly communicate with local battery-related companies and buyers in Europe to lay the foundation for diversifying our customer base."
