Day of United Support for Rural Labor by National Nonghyup
10,000 Nonghyup Employees Nationwide Simultaneously Assist with Farm Work

Chairman Kang Ho-dong Marks 100 Days in Office by Helping with Farm Work Kang Ho-dong, Chairman of the National Agricultural Cooperative Federation, visited a pear farm in Anseong, Gyeonggi Province on the 14th and helped with bagging the pears.

On the 100th day of his inauguration, Kang Ho-dong, President of the NongHyup Central Association, helped with farming tasks such as bagging pears at farms in the Daedeok-myeon area of Anseong, along with 500 executives and employees from the central headquarters and the Gyeonggi regional headquarters.

The NongHyup Central Association announced on the 17th that, to raise public awareness about the serious shortage of agricultural labor and encourage public participation, it designated the 14th as the "All-NongHyup One-Heart Rural Labor Support Day." On this day, about 10,000 executives and employees from affiliated companies, subsidiaries, and regional agricultural and livestock cooperatives nationwide simultaneously participated in helping with farm work.

President Kang said, "There is an old saying that even a fire poker gets up to help with work, which shows how June is the busiest farming season of the year." He added, "I hope that the efforts of NongHyup executives and employees will be a great help to rural areas facing increasing difficulties due to aging populations, rising labor costs, and abnormal climate phenomena."

Meanwhile, NongHyup is operating the Rural Labor Brokerage Center with a goal of supplying 2.35 million agricultural workers this year. In particular, it has established a 'data-driven agricultural labor supply system' to respond to the supply and demand of agricultural labor.
