The opening of BioPlus-Interphex Korea 2024 (BIX 2024), the largest comprehensive bio and pharmaceutical convention in Korea, is just one month away.
Hosted by the Korea Bio Association and Reed Exhibitions Korea (RX Korea), BIX 2024 will be held for three days from the 10th to the 12th of next month at COEX in Gangnam-gu, Seoul. This year’s BIX is themed ‘World’s Most Tangible Bio-healthcare Convention.’ About 250 companies from over 15 countries are expected to participate, covering the entire value chain of the bio and pharmaceutical industries. In addition to the exhibition, various programs such as conferences, partnering, open innovation, receptions, and docent tours will be held.
The main exhibition categories include ▲Manufacturing and Equipment ▲Biotechnology ▲Laboratory Equipment and Analysis ▲Raw Materials (Pharmaceuticals, Food, Cosmetics) ▲Cold Chain Logistics and Packaging ▲Services (Clinical, Non-clinical, Consulting) ▲Digital Healthcare ▲Hospitals, Universities, and Public Institutions. In particular, the biggest topics in the bio and pharmaceutical industries, ▲Bio SoBuJang (Materials, Parts, and Equipment) ▲Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMO) and Contract Development and Manufacturing Organizations (CDMO) ▲Digital Healthcare ▲and Cold Chain sectors will have special exhibition halls.
The main side event, the Open Innovation Stage, will feature presentations, partnering matching, and startup award ceremonies hosted by organizations such as the Future Medicine Research Foundation, Korea Digital Health Industry Association, The Companies, and Merck. Moreover, the ‘Global IR’ event, involving domestic and international venture capitalists (VCs), will provide opportunities for excellent Korean bio companies to enter overseas markets and offer various insights for building global networks. Additionally, special side events for attendees such as VIP receptions and docent tours are prepared.
The organizers also launched the BIX online partnering platform on the 10th. As a benefit for pre-registrants, it allows participants to review company information based on their interests in advance and book on-site meetings. When meeting requests between interested companies are accepted, the partnering schedule is confirmed, and business meetings can be held in a dedicated lounge during the event.
