Report from a restaurant in Wonju, Gangwon-do
A couple left a urine PET bottle without cleaning up
A couple who dined at a restaurant left behind a PET bottle containing their child's urine without cleaning it up, sparking public outrage.
On the 14th, JTBC's 'Incident Manager' introduced a report from Mr. A, who runs a restaurant in Wonju, Gangwon Province. Mr. A posted a lengthy message on his official SNS account, saying, "After running a business for a year, I've experienced many things, but this experience was truly shocking."

Mr. A said that on the 9th, a couple with a young child visited the restaurant and left after dining at a table by the window. While a part-time worker was cleaning the table the family had used, they found a PET bottle containing a warm yellow liquid under the table. The part-timer found this suspicious and informed Mr. A, who was cooking, saying, "There is a PET bottle at table 7, and it looks strange and suspicious."
Mr. A went to the table, asking, "What could be suspicious about a PET bottle?" When he opened the cap, he found urine inside. He explained, "The PET bottle was fogged up and warm. When I opened the cap and smelled it, a strong ammonia odor hit my nose." He added, "At the time the child urinated, the restaurant was already crowded with other customers, and we have a restroom in our restaurant."
Later, Mr. A reviewed the CCTV footage inside the restaurant. The video showed the couple holding the PET bottle to their child who needed to urinate during the meal. Meanwhile, the father continued cutting food without paying attention. The mother let the child urinate into the PET bottle, then helped the child put on pants and continued eating.
Mr. A later found out that the customer had made a reservation to visit the restaurant again and called to complain. The customer said, "I forgot to clean up the PET bottle with the child's urine." Instead of apologizing for letting the child urinate in a space where others were dining, they apologized only for not taking the PET bottle with them.
Mr. A expressed his frustration, saying, "The restroom is just ten steps away inside the restaurant. There were only 10 tables, and other people were there, so I was worried that customers might lose their appetite." He added, "I've had many different experiences running a small business, but this incident was so absurd that I made a video about it." He also asked, "Please hold back harsh criticism and insults toward the customer."
Meanwhile, on the 9th, a post appeared on the self-employed community 'Because It's Hard, I'm a Boss,' where a business owner expressed embarrassment after receiving a negative review for being unfriendly when they warned a customer who changed their baby's diaper during a meal. The business owner, Mr. B, wrote, "The customer changed the diaper and tried to throw it away in the trash can next to the washbasin in the store, so I told them to go outside to the restroom to dispose of it." He added, "Later, the customer wrote in a review that I was unfriendly and gave them dirty looks."
Mr. B lamented, "In five years, this is the first time someone changed a dirty diaper inside the store," and asked, "Did I do something wrong?" expressing his frustration.
