Simulated Training for Unusual Complaints at Dongdaemun-gu Office Comprehensive Civil Service Center

Dongdaemun-gu, Seoul (District Mayor Lee Pil-hyung) conducted a joint "Simulation Training for Unusual Civil Complaints in the Comprehensive Civil Service Office" with the Dongdaemun Police Station at 10 a.m. on the 14th in the district office's comprehensive civil service office.

This training involved a simulated scenario where a civil servant requests the original signature list according to the law when receiving multiple petition complaints in the comprehensive civil service office, and the complainant verbally abuses and assaults the civil servant. Participants included staff from four departments of the comprehensive civil service office such as the Civil Service Passport, the Health Center, security officers, and police officers from the Yongsin Police Substation of the Dongdaemun Police Station.

During the simulation, after the occurrence of an unusual complaint, the team leader in charge of complaint handling notified the possibility of punishment for illegal acts, and civil service office staff wore wearable cameras to record audio and video. Subsequently, through an emergency bell installed in the on-site comprehensive civil service office, two police officers from the Yongsin Police Substation dispatched by the Seoul 112 Comprehensive Situation Room of the Dongdaemun Police Station directly responded and escorted the complainant, concluding the training.

This training was conducted from the 10th to the 14th in cooperation with the local police substations and police boxes not only at the district office but also at the community service centers, following the Ministry of the Interior and Safety's public official civil complaint response manual. During the training, the normal operation and communication status of the emergency bell installed in the civil service office were checked, and wearable cameras distributed to the district office and community service centers were used directly to inspect the response system for various unusual civil complaints that may occur in the civil service office.

Lee Pil-hyung, Mayor of Dongdaemun-gu, stated, "We will do our best to ensure the safety of complainants visiting the civil service offices of the district office and community service centers, as well as the employees working at the civil complaint sites."
