Modetour First in Industry to Adopt Ministry of Foreign Affairs' Passport Information Authenticity Verification API
Modetour announced that it has become the first in the travel industry to adopt the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' Passport Information Authenticity Verification API (Application Programming Interface). This API, developed by the Ministry, allows real-time verification of the authenticity (match) of passport information. It enables immediate confirmation whether passport numbers and English names entered by customers or agencies match the actual passports. By integrating this API into its reservation management system, Modetour can verify the accuracy of passport information provided by customers in real time. The company expects that this will eliminate the need to recheck passport information entered via OCR (image recognition solution) or manually, thereby reducing processing time and enabling more efficient and accurate service.
