OpenAI, a leader in generative artificial intelligence (AI), is reportedly targeting annual revenue of $3.4 billion (approximately 4.7 trillion KRW) this year.

According to Bloomberg on the 12th (local time), Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI, stated at an all-hands meeting that $3.2 billion of this year's revenue is expected to come from the company's own products and services.
The remaining $200 million is anticipated to be generated through Microsoft (MS) cloud service Azure, which enables access to OpenAI's AI models. OpenAI's revenue last year was $1.6 billion.
OpenAI, which led the global AI development surge with ChatGPT, has been gaining prominence by launching ChatGPT-4o, capable of human-like conversations, last month. On the 10th, Apple announced a partnership with OpenAI to utilize ChatGPT technology to introduce AI features into products such as the iPhone.
Earlier this year, OpenAI also made a tender offer valuing the company at $86 billion.
