Workshop on June 14: Strengthening Integrated Reading Education Guidance
Exploring Practical Applications through Special Lectures and Group Discussions
The Busan Metropolitan Office of Education will hold a “Workshop to Strengthen Integrated Reading Education Guidance Competency” for 30 members of the Busan Elementary Education Reading Specialist Support Group at 3 p.m. on the 14th at the AI Education Room of the Busan Education Research Information Center.
This workshop aims to explore ways to vitalize participation- and experience-centered convergent reading, humanities, and writing education, and to strengthen the integrated reading education guidance competency of the Busan Elementary Education Reading Specialist Support Group.
On this day, reading expert and author Heo Pilwoo will give a lecture on the topic “Reading Methods That Bring Insight and Happiness - How You Read Changes Your Life.” Heo will introduce creative reading activity techniques and share concrete and practical examples of convergent reading, humanities, and writing activities.
The Reading Specialist Support Group will then participate in group discussions to specify ways to apply integrated reading education in schools. They will exchange ideas on developing resources to support reading education and strategies to expand detailed projects related to “Reading Change.”
Ha Yoonsoo, Superintendent of the Busan Metropolitan Office of Education, said, “The Office of Education will do its best to advance integrated reading education by strengthening the reading education competency of the Busan Elementary Education Reading Specialist Support Group, which leads reading education in Busan.”
