Pyeongtaek City Expands Operation of 'Public Late-Night Pharmacies' to 4 Locations

Additional Designation of 'Ildeung Pharmacy' in Sinjang-dong

On the 13th, Pyeongtaek City in Gyeonggi Province announced the addition of 'Ildeung Pharmacy' located in Sinjang-dong as a 'Public Late-Night Pharmacy.'

A 'Public Late-Night Pharmacy' is a pharmacy that operates 365 days a year to alleviate citizens' inconvenience in purchasing medicines and to minimize misuse and side effects of drugs through professional pharmacists' medication guidance. Operating hours are from 10 PM to 1 AM the next day, and it provides medicine and prescription drug purchases as well as telephone consultations.

With this additional designation, the number of public late-night pharmacies in Pyeongtaek City has increased to four, including the existing ▲Cheongbuksol Pharmacy (Seojeong-dong) ▲Medical Segyero Pharmacy (Tongbok-dong) ▲Poseung Jongno Pharmacy (Poseung-eup).

A representative from the Songtan Public Health Center in Pyeongtaek City expressed hope that "amid concerns over prolonged collective actions in the medical community causing inconvenience to citizens, this additional designation will reduce medical service gaps and alleviate citizens' inconvenience during late-night hours."
