Mars Growing Rapidly, Mining and Manufacturing Survey Scale Also Remarkable

This survey, led by Statistics Korea, is a nationally designated statistical survey conducted annually nationwide. The survey targets 4,443 mining and manufacturing businesses with 10 or more employees as of December 31 of last year, located in Hwaseong City. This is the largest scale in Gyeonggi Province.

The survey items include 13 categories such as ▲business name ▲representative's name ▲organizational form ▲number of employees and wages ▲operating expenses ▲annual shipment and revenue amounts. The survey method primarily involves face-to-face interviews by surveyors visiting the businesses, but internet, fax, email, and telephone surveys will also be conducted concurrently.

The survey results will be used as basic data for establishing various economic policies, corporate management plans, and academic research. Preliminary results will be announced in December, and the final results will be included in the National Statistical Portal (KOSIS) in January next year. The report is scheduled to be published in February next year.

The city plans to strengthen surveyor training and thoroughly manage field surveys to enhance the accuracy and reliability of the survey. The collected data will be strictly protected according to the Statistics Act and will not be used for purposes other than statistical compilation.

During the survey period, the city will operate regional statistical situation rooms at three locations: the City Hall Modunurim Center, Hwaseong Sports Complex, and Jinan-dong. For detailed information related to the survey, inquiries can be made to Statistics Korea or the Hwaseong City Hall call center.

Kim Myung-sook, head of Hwaseong City's Smart City Division, said, "The survey results will be important data for regional economic development," and urged businesses to actively cooperate.
