Daejeon Dong-gu Closes 4 Riverside Parking Lots Including Daedongcheon in Preparation for Heavy Rain

Dong-gu, Daejeon announced that it will temporarily close four riverside parking lots starting from the 17th in preparation for heavy summer rains.

The riverside parking lots to be closed until September 13 are four locations: Daejeoncheon (Seonhwa Bridge), Daedongcheon (Gaje Bridge to Soje Bridge), Daedongcheon (Soje Bridge to Daedong Bridge), and Daedongcheon (1st Flood Control Bridge to 2nd Flood Control Bridge).

The district designated 10 alternative parking lots, including Jeongdong Public Parking Lot, Central Market 3rd Public Parking Lot, Central Market 2nd Public Parking Lot, Shinhan Bank Public Parking Lot, and Daejeon Station East Plaza Parking Lot.

A district official said, “We are closing the riverside parking lots to completely prevent vehicle damage caused by flooding during the rainy season and typhoon periods,” and urged, “Please use the alternative parking lots despite the inconvenience.”
