On the afternoon of the 12th, Choi Ho-gwon, Mayor of Yeongdeungpo District, attended the opening ceremony of the shared kitchen ‘Hamkke Kukkuk’ located on the 3rd floor of the Yeongdeungpo-dong Community Center and conducted the plaque unveiling ceremony.
The opening ceremony was attended by about 10 people, including Mayor Choi Ho-gwon, heads of district professional organizations, and members. After the ceremony, Mayor Choi spent meaningful time participating in the ‘Making Side Dishes for Elderly Living Alone’ event together with the district volunteer association.
‘Hamkke Kukkuk’ is an open space where residents and members of professional organizations can cook and share meals together. After a pilot operation period until September this year, it is planned to be available for reservation by all residents starting in October.
Mayor Choi Ho-gwon of Yeongdeungpo District said, “I hope Hamkke Kukkuk becomes a space where local residents can share meals and feel warmth together,” and added, “We will always do our best in facility operation and follow-up management to ensure residents have no inconvenience in using it.”
