Cheonan City Signs Internship Agreement with 11 Universities for Foreign Exchange Students On the 11th, Cheonan City in Chungnam signed a business agreement with 11 local universities for global foreign student internships.

Cheonan City in Chungnam Province is collaborating with local universities to discover talented foreign students.


On the 11th, the city signed a business agreement with the Chungnam branch of the Korean Red Cross and 11 local universities to support global foreign student internships.


According to the agreement, Cheonan City and the universities will maintain an organic cooperative relationship and mutually cooperate and support matters related to the settlement and employment support of foreign students in the region.


The foreign student internship program, which began as a pilot project last year, plans to connect 12 young foreign students currently enrolled in or graduated from local universities with companies this year. They will perform internship duties at local companies from July to August.


Mayor Park Sang-don said, “Through the foreign youth internship program, we aim to proactively address the shortage of industrial manpower caused by population decline,” adding, “Discovering and nurturing foreign students can greatly contribute to Cheonan’s innovation and growth.”
