Mayor Cho Urges Best Efforts in Managing Agricultural Product Quality for Pregnant Women

On the 11th, Jinju Mayor Jo Gyu-il visited the site of the eco-friendly agricultural product package support project for pregnant women located in Jinseong-myeon, Jinju, to conduct an on-site inspection.

On this day, Mayor Jo Gyu-il checked the operational status, supplied items, and quality conditions, and encouraged the seed companies. He also requested, "As the supply of agricultural products becomes more diverse and the hot season approaches, please do your best to manage the quality of agricultural products used by pregnant women."


The eco-friendly agricultural product package support project for pregnant women is a project aimed at providing healthy food to pregnant women. This year, Jinju City plans to support 900 pregnant women with a project budget of 270 million KRW.


Eligible recipients are mothers who currently reside in Jinju and gave birth after January 1, 2023, or are currently pregnant. Applications can be made at the local eup/myeon office or the dong administrative welfare center in the applicant's residential area.


Meanwhile, Gyeongnam Agriculture Sallim Farming Association Corporation, which supplies the agricultural product packages, donated eco-friendly agricultural products and processed goods worth 5 million KRW to group homes for children within Jinju through the Jinju City Welfare Foundation to help neighbors in need.
